Trick or treating
Mia had so much fun trick-or-treating! She said "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" at every house. I was so proud of her.
This weekend is the big 2nd Birthday!

Emily's baby shower
Mia had a busy weekend. She went to stay with her grandma and grandpa Boykin Saturday night so that Ryan and I could go to a costume party and a surprise party. She was back in time Sunday for Emily's baby shower. We had a great turn-out and Emily got lots of gifts for Nicholas.

Pics from the weekend...

This weekend mimi and papa came over to watch Mia so that we could go to the Skynard/Big & Rich concert with Erika and Robert. We had a blast even though it poured down rain on us. Erika's pictures turned out better than mine, but you can make out Big Kenny. The other pics of Mia are what she was supposed to wear to our family portrait at the farm on Sat. morning. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, so they were postphoned. The other pic is of Madelyn. Chas and Madelyn joined me and Mia for dinner Thursday night while the guys went to the game. We had so much fun. Madelyn is such a good baby. Mia couldn't kiss her enough - she just didn't want mama to hold her! :-) She better get used to it! Nicholas will be here in a couple of months!!!

Busy weekend

Mia had a lot going on this weekend on her social calander! Friday night we joing Erika, Trey and Robert for dinner at Outback. The kids were surprisingly good. We had a good time and Mia enjoyed playing with Trey. Saturday morning Mia had her 2 year old birthday pictures made. She did as best as I could expect her to do! :-) She did great in her birthday dress, was a little clingy to daddy in her 2nd outfit, and loved running around in her halloween costume (3rd outfit). After her afternoon nap we were off to FunDayGo for Gracie's birthday. Mia had a large time running around and playing.
Sunday we were doing a little birthday shopping in Toys R Us when Mimi and Papa popped in to see us. Mia was elated and proceeded to show them around the whole store!
Last night we went up to the pumpkin patch and let Mia pick out a pumpkin. Of course she thought she could carry the big ones and got mad when they wouldn't budge! :-)
Hard to believe my baby will be 2 in a month.....

What Mia is up to...
It's been a while since I've updated everyone on what Mia is doing now...
-She tells us to sit down or "it awn" where she wants us while pointing exactly to the spot
-She changes shoes on her own up to 5 times a day (even to bed) - on the correct feet might I add!
-She says "shoes on" and "shoes off" and can now put 3 to 4 words together
-She knows her shapes (circle, square, star, triangle)
-She helps sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Jesus Loves Me", "Ring Around the Rosy", "A, B, C's", and several of The Wiggles' songs
-She says how "preeetttyyy" she looks after I get her dresses - I guess I've built her confidence up!
-She loves to kiss boys on the mouth!
-She talks about Trey, Joshua, Luke, Emily, Mimi, and Papa all of the time....
-She loves pretending like she is talking on the phone
-She loves to see planes (panes) and trains (choo-choo train)
-She loves to tell you the sounds that animals make (cow, pig, elephant, dog, duck, and cat)
-She now gives the biggest and tightest hugs - they really make your day!
Mimi called the other night and told me that Mia get prettier and prettier everytime she sees her. I have to admit - I couldn't agree more. Her hair has gotten longer and blonder during the summer, she still has dazzling blue eyes, and she is all tanned after her vacation. Sometimes I just look at her in awe over what an amazing and beautiful little girl she is! Don't get me wrong, sometimes Ryan and I both want to pull our hair out when she is throwing a tantrum, but we wouldn't trade a single moment with her for anything.
