Mia's been busy...

As you can see, Mia got a slide last week and she can't get enough of it! She squeals "WEEEE" as she slides down! She had a big weekend. Grandpa came over Saturday and we all went over to Emily and Brian's to grill out Saturday night. Sunday Grandma and great-grandma came over and we went out to eat and then they watched Mia while Ryan and I did a little shopping. Mia was such a joy to hang out with this weekend after the fussy week we had last week. I am chalking it up to the molar that came through sometime last week.

We purchased a potty last week and Mia loves to sit on it and read a book before she takes her bath. No pee-pee yet though. If I had her toilet paper she will wipe like she has gone. Too cute! Her new words are "hot"and "nite-nite". She repeats well anything that we try to get her to say. She will be 18 months on Friday!

Oh! Mia's new words...

Mia's new words this week are "cookie" and "Dorothy"- from the Wiggles....

Easter

Mia had another big weekend! Friday the daycare was closed, so Aunt Emily kept Mia for a few hours while I treated Chasity and myself to a much needed massage. Afterwards we went to lunch. It was great having some girl time! Saturday morning we put out 45 bags of red mulch - with Mia's help of course! We ate dinner with mama and daddy Sat. night and went to church with them on Sunday morning. Mia looked precious in her Easter dress and all of her big girl jewelry! We made it home in time to watch the Master's. Oh, the Easter Bunny brought Mia an adirondack chair, purse, Hello Kitty wallet, Wiggles video, pajamas, sidewalk chalk, a necklace, and candy!

Happy 17 Months, Mia!

My big girl is 17 months today! Wow!
Things Mia likes at 17 months:
  • The Wiggles
  • Playing outside
  • Doggies
  • Waiting on me to count 1-4 so she can yell five or as she says "Faaa"
  • Water
  • Food - particularly corn and Cheeze-its
  • Chocolate Milk (sugar-free)
  • Dancing to songs she learns at big-girl school (Wheels on the Bus, If You're Happy and you Know it, Ring Around the Rosy)

Things Mia doesn't like:

  • Brushing her teeth
  • Having her hair fixed
  • Sharing
  • Having her diaper changed
  • Having her clothes put on

It's so hard to believe she'll be 1 1/2 next month!

Happy Easter!!!!!!!

Mia's Big Weekend

Mia had a busy weekend. On Saturday we headed to Orangeburg to spend the night with Ryan's parents. The Easter Bunny came early in Orangeburg and left all three of us goodies! We grilled out Saturday night and went out to eat Sunday lunch with Ryan's grandparents. We had a great time!

When we got home Sunday, it was off to our next-door neighbors for an Easter Egg Hunt. To our surprise, Mia totally grasped the concept of hunting for eggs and putting them in her Easter basket. She had loads of fun hunting Easter Eggs, sliding down the sliding board, riding in the bubble cars, climbing around in the blow-up castle, and eating cupcakes! She was exhausted when we got home.

Next weekend will be another busy weekend in Bennettsville for Easter. I'll update then....
