My purse and eating ravioli and pudding

Our neat little eater
I cannot keep her out of my purse!

Celebrating Birthdays

Sunday we traveled to Sumter to celebrate Ryan's grandfather's and Uncle John's birthdays. Mia had a large time eating cake and cookies. She was quite the little show-off and kept everyone entertained!

Oh, no more pee-pees on the potty....

Family Day

Saturday was my company's annual Family Day. This year it was at Mr. Mark's Fun Park. Everyone had a wonderful time! Mama and Aunt Emily came to help Ryan with Mia. She acted like a perfect little angel. She was there for 3 1/2 hours and I couldn't have asked for a better behaved child!

Isn't she lovely????

Chas and Madelyn are now home from the hospital. Isn't she pretty? Look at that beautiful blond hair! Congratulations again Chas and Trey!

Lots of News....

Let's see...where to start...Friday night Ryan's parents came and we all went to eat at Carolina Wings. I think Mia's days of being good in resteraunts are over for right now. She could not sit still. They brought Mia a sandbox, chair and bucket and shovel. Mia didn't seem too sure about the sand touching her feet. She sure loved her new chair though! She better get used to the sand because we plan on being at the beach a lot this summer!
Saturday night Mia stayed with my parents so Ryan and I could go to a wedding party. We met them at church on Sunday morning where we received some exciting news! I'm going to be an aunt!!! Emily and Brian are expecting their first bundle of joy in January! We're so excited!
Chasity was admitted to the hospital yesterday and her labor was induced this morning. Hopefully, things will go smoothly and Madelyn will be here shortly! We can't wait to meet her!
I saved Mia's good news for last....she pee-peed on the potty last night and then again this morning!!! I've been working with her for about 3 weeks at night before she get in the bath. She loves to sit on it and wipe, but has not pee-peed yet. Well, the first night I'm not around (I was at the hospital w/Chas) she decides to pee-pee for her daddy. The potty we purchased plays music when pee-pee hits the bottom. It scared her and she hopped up mid pee-pee. Then this morning while she was watching Jojo's Circus I asked her if she needed to pee-pee. She nodded yes and kept saying "pee-pee" until I could get her on the potty. She sat their for a minute and looked through a book. I stood up and wasn't paying much attention - I fully expected last night to be an isolated incident. All of a sudden, the music started playing. She jumped up and lo and behold there was pee-pee in the potty. She was so exicited - so was mom! She sat back down and wiped like a big girl and we did a happy pee-pee dance!!! Way to go, Mia! We are so proud of you! I know we have a long way to go, but I'm so excited that she is starting to understand what she is supposed to do on the potty.
I left my camera at home, so I'll post some pics from the weekend tomorrow.

18 Month Check-up

Mia turned 18 months last Friday! We went this morning to have her check-up. She weighs 28 pounds and is 34 1/2 inches long. She's a big girl! She is in the 97th percentile for weight and height. She behaved real well in the doctor's office. She was busy and didn't want to sit still, but never had a tantrum - amazingly! These pictures are from last weekend at the March of Dimes walk and Aunt Emily's birthday.
