Mia had her 15 month check-up on Tuesday. She weighed 25 pounds and was 33 inches (very tall). This isn't surprising. She is taller than most of the kids in her 1 year old class at big girl school. After her shots we went and got an Oreo McFlurry. This has become a ritual after shots. When we got home, Mia was so tired that she fell asleep watching The Wiggles! Speaking of big girl school, Mia's first day in her new class was Monday. She seems to be loving it. When I pick her up in the afternoons, she hugs and kisses her friends goodbye. It's so neat to see her interacting with kids her age. They are so sweet at this age. They all want to come up and hug you.
Some things that Mia is doing at 15 months:
-still saying "thank you" when you hand her something or when she hands you something
-can now open the pantry door (this is the only door she has opened - kind of coincidental since this is where her cookies are located!)
-still doing the Hokey Pokey
-says "Brrrrr" when it's cold outside
-has started reading books to herself; it's so cute - she turns the pages and says "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..." - I guess this is what we sound like to her! :-)
-trying to eat with utensils - she doesn't get much food in her mouth, but she still says "Mmmm"
-has 4 teeth now - finally!!!
-can climb steps now holding on to the stairwell - assisted of course!
This is all I can think of, but she is doing new things everyday! This is such a fun age!
